Diwali

Festivals are the life and blood of a nation. They inspire the whole nation. The  hindu celebrate many  festivals but diwali is most important festival of hindu.Dewali or Deepawali means a row of lamps. It is an important hindu festival. It reminds us of the ideals of rama. On this day, Ram with Lakshmana and sita returned to ayodhya from exile. The people kindled earthen lamps to greet them. It is a festival of joy and merry making.

It comes off in the month of October or November. Houses and shops are white washed . They are nicely decorated. Beautiful pictures are hung on the walls. Temple looks like newly married brides. The sweet sellers also began to prepare sweets days before the festival. The businessman open their new accounts on this day.

On this day, people put on new clothes. They go to the bazaars. They buy utensils. Fruits and many other things. Children buy toys and crackers. Everybody looks happy and gay.. gifts are exchanged

with friends and relatives.

At night there is light everywhere. People light lamps and candles in rows. Children play with fire work. At night people worship Lakshmi, the goddess of weath. They pray of health, wealth and prosperity. Some foolish people famble on this day, It this day. It is an evil practice. It should be stopped.
