Independence Day
The Independence Day reminds us of those patriots who
founght and died or suffered to win freedom for us. India because free on August 15, 1947. On this day our first Prime
Minister Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru unfurled the National Flag at the Red Fort for
the first time. Hence forth it is celebrated all over India with a great zeal.
People hold meetings, fly the tricolor and sing the National Anthem. There is a
great enthusiasm among them. In delhi
the capital of india, this day is celebrated with great pomp and show. The
Prime Minister unfurls the National Flag. A guard of honour is given by the
police and army. A salute of 31 guns is fired. After the prime Minister speech
the function comes to an end with the recital of Jana Gana Mana.
